How Innovative Fabric Shell Schemes Make Custom Display Booths Possible

The traditional shell scheme used by event organisers and exhibition venues have some limitations, especially when it comes to the creation of custom display booths.

Problems with traditional shell schemes

The panels are heavy and difficult to set up. With posts separating the panels, it is almost impossible to create seamless graphic display walls. In addition, the panels scratch, and the vinyl-based graphic prints cannot be re-used. This makes custom display stands expensive and tedious to design and set-up.

How our solutions make it easier to set up exhibition stands

With the new and innovative fabric shell scheme as available through us, it is possible to address all the mentioned problems. Seamless fabric walls are easily attached to the posts. With the lightweight of the scheme, setting up event booths is faster and more cost-efficient; the latter being an added bonus.

Components of the fabric shell scheme

It consists of a modular aluminium system that makes it easy to create display stands that feature seamless fabric walls. This is possible because of the silicone edge graphic technology offered. The white poly twill fabric is stretched over the posts, from one corner to the other. These panels can be replaced with custom graphic fabric walls.

The standard scheme consists of a 3 x 3 m booth. With only four aluminium posts as compared to the 10 posts of the traditional scheme, it is faster and easier to set up. Traditional schemes for exhibition booths consist of 32 locks and nine panels to insert. The new schemes have only 12 locks to tighten with three panels to attach.

The system is dark grey powder-coated for easy fading into the background. This also helps to emphasise the graphics. We offer the scheme in 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, and 4 m wall modules. As such, it is possible to create display booths according to space availability.

The fabric can be re-used, washed, and stored. With several wall-length options, all the exhibition booths at an event can look as if custom designed. The scheme has a sophisticated look and feel, which adds visual appeal to any stand. The fabric scheme can also be used at conference entrances.

Re-usability of graphics and easy transportation

The lightweight components of the scheme make it easier to dismantle and transport. Clients can use their graphics at other events as well. With such, fully customisable display booths are possible at a fraction of the time and cost of the conventional plastic panel schemes that are heavy and take up more space in storage.

Improve your exhibition spaces with our range of solutions

We offer a range of options to create stunning and innovative stalls. Such also includes counters, pop-up displays, brochure stands and banners. Offer your exhibitors more choices and improved booths with our custom options. Get in touch for more information about our stand building options including the innovative fabric shell schemes for your exhibition or trade show.

Africa Health: Top Event for Healthcare Professionals on the Continent

Africa Health is considered the largest event for healthcare professionals in Africa, to be hosted from 12-14 May 2020 in Johannesburg at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. It is the must-attend convention for manufacturers, pharmaceutical representatives, and healthcare professionals.

With hospital services, clinic offerings, accessories, equipment and services on display, in addition to medicine showcasing and discussions on medical chemicals to form part of the prestigious event, it is one of the best-attended medical conventions on the continent. Healthcare professionals from around the world attend while the exhibitors gain opportunities to showcase their latest breakthrough technologies to a targeted audience.

With over 600 exhibitors and more than 10 500 professionals expected to attend from several exhibiting countries, it is the convention to visit for optimal networking, brand exposure, and product launches. With so many visitors to attend, companies have every reason to display their products and services, enhance their corporate images, and build brand visibility.

Attendees from 68 countries provide for an exceptionally large target base, all interested in the newest, most innovative and cost-effective technologies and services relevant to the healthcare industry.

Visitors and exhibitors alike have ample opportunities to network with trade specialists and healthcare professionals. From suppliers to customers and investors will attend in the hopes of establishing contacts and meeting potential suppliers or clients.

The product scope is just as impressive as thousands of products will be on display. This, of course, gives visitors more options and chances to negotiate contracts or to compare offerings.

Attendance also serves to stay current with the latest developments and ongoing trends in the industry. Visiting helps to gain insight as to the direction of healthcare over the next ten years.

Attendees can improve their skills and expertise levels through participation in workshops, seminars, group discussions, training classes, and conference attendance. Visitors and exhibitors can also explore nearby attractions in the surrounding areas.

For parties interested in exhibiting, a warm invite has been given to book their spots as early as possible since 72% of the 2019 exhibitors have reserved space at the 2020 convention and exhibition. Space is thus limited and to stay competitive in the industry, it is important to have a stand at the 2020 event.

Companies not yet convinced of the benefits of showcasing at Africa Health 2020 should take note of the reasons 2019 exhibitors have rebooked their sites.

New Business Opportunities

With over 10 500 visitors to the event, opportunities to meet new clients and suppliers abound. Tradeshows provide the perfect platforms for informal contact building. Agreements worth millions of rands come in place at such exhibitions. If your plan is to grow your brand in 2020, then visiting and exhibiting at the largest gathering of its kind in the healthcare industry of Africa is a must-do activity.

An exclusive selection of opportunities only open for exhibitors gives even more reason to book a stand for maximum brand exposure. If you have not yet booked your stand or visitor ticket, do so right away to become part of the growing network of successful healthcare professionals and service providing companies in Africa.

How to Attract More Visitors to Festive Display Stands

Festive display stands, similar to any themed-event booths, must have specific elements to make them stand out. Below are a few tips to help with the design and set-up of festive expo stands.

Use Designers and Exhibition Staff Members

The designers of display stands understand the principles of effective design to create stunning showcase spaces. The exhibition staff members are the live parts of the exhibition. Though all expo spaces must be designed to be interactive and effective display spaces with or without the presence of staff members, the full potential of a booth can only be realised if the exhibition staff members understand that festive means friendly, helpful, professional and joyful. This means they must have happy faces as even the most festive of display stands can become a dreadful place if the staff members are all but inviting.

Help Festive Event Goers to Find Your Display Stands

If you invited clients to the exhibition, trade show or market, make sure they know how to get to your booth. Provide them with downloadable directions to the exhibition and instructions from the entrance gates in getting to your booth. You can also use indicative boards along the way showing the path to your booth.

Use Technology to Arrange for Matchmaking

Study the attendee list and target relevant event goers with ads or invites for freebies or meetings at your display booth. Have staff members ready to engage and to make sure the attendees feel welcome when responding to your invites.

Freebies

People love giveaways and especially over the festive period. Make sure the freebies you hand out are practical, memorable, branded and things they will want to show others. Also add free foods and drinks to the collection.

Subtle Message

In line with the particular festive period, add décor that fits and creates an atmosphere of joyfulness. Your booth should not shout. Instead, the message should be subtle, but effective.

Games Galore

If it is festive, then there must be games for all. Create a free to enter the competition for the day of the event and make sure people can see what to do. Have the draw on the event day at a certain time as this will ensure that visitors will return to the booth later on in the day.

Comfort sells

After a day of festivities, people want to rest. Indeed, many may go home early because they are thirsty, hungry and tired. Give them a place to rest,  as well as refreshments and freebies in a comfortable setting. With festive display stands, you can add more seating and refreshment stations. Have your marketing material ready at these stations to help them remember who it was that took care of their needs first.

Use Professional Designers

Make use of our expertise in the design of award-winning festive display stands to make sure your booth draws in more people. From walls to lights and modular booths are available from us. Get in touch to discuss your particular event requirements.

Innovative Design Ideas for Display Booths to Attract More Visitors

For a successful exhibition at one of the upcoming trade events, you need a display booth that attracts more visitors. The same old designs simply don’t cut it. Everyone at these events wants to attract visitors. The design of your display booth must be unique for it to be noticed.

We share a few ideas to spark interest, helping you to see how being different can attract more attendees.

Secret Space

Humans are curious by nature. So, when something is hidden or secret, the urge to investigate quickly takes over. But, how can you be secretive?

Enclose your stand, almost as if it’s a cube. With most of the display stands open and airy, the enclosed design will spark interest. With this concept, the visitors must enter to see what’s inside. Don’t disappoint them once they’re in. This is where you must optimise the use of our display walls, event flooring, and lights to create the right highlights. Hand something out, spoil them with beverages and a relaxation area, and give them a reason to talk about their amazing experience.

Mini Spa, Kitchen, or Demo Room

Visitors want something different and they enjoy being pampered. A mini cook-off or spa treatment appeals to the need for attention. Of course, your product doesn’t have to be related to the kitchen or food. You can use the cooking demonstration to explain how your product or service works and then hand out delicious food samples. The same applies to the spa idea. If a scientific approach is more appealing, consider hosting a little science show as if in a lab. Remember to create interest through engagement.

Small Space? Use the Ceiling as a Hanging Space!

Even if your floor space at the Propak Cape event is limited, you can still get your brand noticed. Do so by hanging displays from the ceiling over your booth. Visitors will see the displays from far and come closer to investigate.

Lifestyle Booth

Appeal to the need for relaxation with elegant and inviting couches. Add two trendy hanging chairs and spruce up the ambience with stylish beverages.

Magic for Stopping Power

People are intrigued by the mystique of magicians. Having an experienced close-up magician at your display booth to entertain ensures a large crowd. Add brand power through giveaways or let the magician use some of your products in his or her show.

Virtual Reality – Space Exploration

Create a space where visitors have opportunities to try out virtual reality hardware. Take them to fantasy worlds or let them play games. This type of interactive display booth tends to attract the younger tech-savvy crowds.

Everything you need to stand out at the Wines2Whales event on the 25th of October to the 3rd of November 2019 is available from us. Don’t forget about Windaba from the 4th to the 6th of November and the Africa Oil Week from the 4th to the 8th of November 2019.

We provide trade booths and a range of modular stands according to customer needs. Get in touch for more information about our award-winning stand designs for the above and other exciting display opportunities.

Custom Display Stands: How to Engage and Impress Event Attendees

Inspiration may lack when it comes to how you can make a splash with custom display stands. Fortunately, you have us to make your dreams true. With several award-winning custom display stands in our product portfolio, we have all the inspiration we need to make your exhibition booth the new benchmark.

To get you started on ideas for creating engagement at your booth, let’s look at ways to make custom display stands work for you.

Stunt Shows at the Event

Creativity is the key here. Even though an elephant at one of the custom display stands will attract attention, the animal most probably will also fill the entire inside of a booth. But, don’t let that stop you. Do something such as running a sitcom or perhaps a talk show with a celebrity on a stage? Even a little carnival game or a dunk tank with your marketing director on the chair can attract visitors.

A Special Deal Just for the Event

Visitors to trade shows love freebies and specials. Create a deal that’s good enough to have people visit the show just to come to your custom display stand.

Comfort Is King

Sore feet, rumbling tummies, and dry throats are characteristics attendees share by mid-afternoon. Offer your special deal, giveaways, and/or competitions at the same time. Provide fresh water, drinks, and snacks at your booth, plus comfortable seating, and charging stations. By now, you will have addressed their needs. They will be willing to listen and engage.

Let Customers Engage with Your Products

What’s the use of custom design stands if they are not attractive? Once the visitors are at your booth, let them interact with the products. If you sell hair products, let them try them. If your business is in the wine industry, give away sample bottles. If it is food, let the visitors in on some of your secrets. Show them how to prepare their own cupcake designs. If your business is apps, then let the visitors use a few.

Play a Game

Urban gaming is still alive and well. Create a game that can be played at the event. It can even be a photo scavenger hunt or a race for collecting business cards from several exhibitors.

Let People Know Beforehand

Notify you social media fans about your brand presence at the particular event way before the time. Give your customers free entry tickets to visit your booth. People enjoy being VIP guests. Reserve a few VIP tickets for your best clients.

Contact industry bloggers, the local reporter, and a few of your favourite publications beforehand to let them know you will be at the event. Mention the event in your email newsletters. Even though you are one of many exhibitors, everyone benefits if more visitors attend.

Let Your Stand Be Visible

Elegant, chic, cool, trendy, functional, and fun are words that spring to mind when considering the overall feel you can create for your booth. Consider the image you want to portray, and we will do the work with our custom display stands.

Windaba Once Again Impressed in October 2019

If you missed the ninth annual Windaba conference hosted in Cape Town at the start of October, don’t despair. You will get another chance to visit the premier international wind energy event next year. This year’s conference was hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from the 8th to the 9th of October.

Windaba is the leading power and wind energy event in the country and worth attending if you are interested or operate within the renewable energy sector.

Windaba October 2019 was made possible by the South African Wind Energy Association and the Global Wind Energy Council. Influencers and many government representatives attended. Important decision-makers and numerous stakeholders participated in the discussions about the future of wind energy supply in Africa.

As many as 500+ exhibitors displayed their products and brand messages. With the visitors to Windaba already in the market for renewable energy products, exhibitors benefited from having their target audiences right at their booth entrances.

With the conference in its ninth year, it has become almost a household name in the wind energy circles. Several top delegates attended to support the focus on creating sustainable energy sources for the people of Africa. The Minister of Mineral and Energy Resources, Gwede Mantashe, also attended this year’s Windaba.

Among the delegates to this year’s Windaba were OEMs, investors, and bank representatives, as well as insurers.

Minister Gwede Mantashe was one of the key speakers at the conference. He noted that conventional electricity supply is too expensive, thereby verbalising what is on the minds of many South Africans. In his address, Minister Mantashe noted the importance of wind power for energy creation. With government also showing interest in wind energy supply, it is certainly good news for service providers and inventors hoping to promote wind energy in Africa.

Why You Should Not Miss Out on the Opportunity to Attend and Exhibit at the 2020 Windaba

The next Windaba event will be hosted in October 2020. If you missed out on the opportunity to have a display stand at the premier wind energy event this year, book your spot early for next year.

Delegates to the event have opportunities to participate in discussions, learn more about wind energy supply trends, and gain a better understanding of trends in the industry. How to Unleash the Power of Display: Create Unforgettable Exhibition Stands

Research on exhibition stands shows most trade-show visitors have buying power, so every visitor is a potential buyer. Having a booth at a trade show provides tremendous brand exposure and income-generating potential. But this is true for every exhibitor; if your competitors exhibit at the same trade show, you have to pull out all stops to make your booth stand out from the rest of the exhibition stands. You have limited space and time to make an impact and create an unforgettable experience for visitors. To this end, follow these tips on how to get the most from trade shows with great exhibition stands. Before you start with the design or selection of the booth, you must understand your goals. List them in order of priority. What do you want to achieve? Who is your audience? What brand message do you want to convey? What do you sell?

Everyone Has A Story – Tell Yours with Passion

Limited time and space mean you cannot waste money with a vague message. Don’t make your booth a mere space filler. It either fades into the background or makes an impact. To do so, you need to tell your brand’s story in a striking way. If told right, it makes your brand offering more valuable. You want the audience to listen, see, ask, learn, buy, and become loyal supporters. Think of ways to tell the story in a way that creates interaction with the visitor. Every element must work together to bring the visitor to your call to action – and thus the desired outcome:

  • Does the lighting highlight the brand message?
  • Does the layout lead the visitor through the journey?
  • Does the counter provide exhibition possibilities?
  • Does the colour scheme support the story and the feel you want to create?
  • Is it an immersive experience?

Create an environment in which the visitor becomes part of the brand, gets the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers. They must explore. The banners, walls, flooring, lighting, LED light boxes, furniture, and brochure stands all work together to create that immersive and positive environment.

Give Visitors What They Want

Exhibition stands form part of a larger event. For the duration of the event, the brands have set addresses. As such, your booth has only one store front. You have to create a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors want to relax and they want to be entertained. Give them both. People are creatures of comfort. Create an environment with all the comforts they want, such as inviting seats, a bottled-water bar, beverages and snacks, interactive displays, information kiosks, and demonstrations. Give visitors opportunities to participate in demonstrations.

What do you want after a long day of visiting exhibition stands? You are thirsty, hungry, and tired. You want a welcoming oasis where you can linger longer. Re-energise your visitors with displays using bold colours and eye-catching messages. Create the “Wow!” factor and give them something to take home.
